  1. Each potion is about a pint of liquid.
  2. Potions are expensive, possibly rare, almost always intended to be stored indefinitely until needed.
  3. As such, they are stored in glass bottles, occasionally with a distinctive shape, corked and waxed.
  4. Losing more than 1/4 of the liquid renders the potion invalid.
  5. No, you can't drink "just a little" to find out what it does or if it is poison or not.
  6. Identifying a potion must be done with the Identify spell or with an Intelligence(Arcana) check.
  7. Potions do not routinely curse as part of their formulations, but a particular potion may be cursed.
  8. Selling sealed potions can be tricky to NPCs that are not sophisticated in handling potions.
  9. A potion may be consumed with a Bonus Action or an Action. When an Action is used, any dice used to determine amounts are maximized (ie. Potion of Healing will restore 2d4+2 HP if consumed as a Bonus Action, or 10 HP if consumed as an Action)
